“Lord Nick Herbert, do not make participation in next year’s global conference on LGBT rights, conditional on LGB people supporting gender identity. That would be in defiance of the Equality Act, it would be undemocratic. Our legal protections are not conditional on any other characteristic. It would also be in violation of the Nolan Principles.”
