A decision to ditch a question on biological sex from official surveys about HIV and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs) has been branded ‘madness’, report Melanie Newman and Julie Bindel.

Two questionnaires administered by Public Health England previously sought to determine how patterns of STDs differ between men and women and between heterosexual and homosexual groups. But following consultation with transgender groups, respondents are no longer asked about the sex they were born but instead whether they ‘identify’ as male or female.

Lesbian and Gay News editor David Bridle, who has lived with HIV since 1996, said it ‘will skew the data as well as putting people at risk’ and predicted ‘a rise in the numbers of those registered as women with HIV, when in fact they are male-bodied’. Public Health England administers two national surveys aimed at capturing data on sexual health. The HIV and AIDS Reporting System (HARS) collects data on all people accessing HIV Services. The Genitourinary Medicine Clinic Activity Dataset (GUMCAD) collects data on STI tests, diagnoses and services from all sexual health clinics in England.

Seems the Uk, having lead the way in Trans-ideological Bullshit, may be the best place to halt and reverse the trend of incorporating delusionary wokeness into science. One can only hope that small signs of resistance foreshadow a strong return to the path towards common sense. Unfortunately it still seems so far away.
